Glucose syrup, also called confectioner's glucose, is a syrup made from the hydrolysis of starch. Maize (corn) is commonly used as the source of the starch for making the glucose syrup , in which case the syrup is called "corn syrup" . But now glucose syrup is also made from potatoes and wheat, rice and cassava , the first step is make the starch first.

Now our company has the new technology,our company glucose syrup production line can produce the glucose syrup from corn or broken rice directly , do not need make the starch first.

The steps in glucose syrup production in the glucose syrup production plant as below :

(1) Powder prepare by dry milling method
Cleaning the corn or broken rice first.It will need separate the corn germ before milling if use the corn as raw material.  Then mill the corn or broken rice into required corn powder or rice powder by dry milling method .

(2) Slurry preparation
Mixing the corn powder and water to get the right density slurry.Then add the amylase and keep on the temperature for particular time to make powder absorbing enough water  .

(3) Liquefaction process
The liquefaction process is to convert the starch which content in the slurry into liquid form by jet cooker with the aid of enzyme.

(4) Deproteinization process
The deproteinization process is separate the corn protein and other solid impurity from liquid dextrin by filter press. The liquid dextrin will be pumped to next process, the corn protein will be left for sale. .
The by product corn protein / rice protein ( feed grade) is top grade protein additives for making animal feed .

(5) Saccharification
The liquefied material is sent to enzyme saccharification tank for reaction. After being kept in holding tube the required DE value of the glucose will be reached. Then the material is sent to flash for cooling then to the neutralization tank for suitable pH value.

(6) Filtration and decoloring
Glucose is cleaned by removing the protein and other foreign items in rotary vacuum filter and filter press. Active carbon is needed for decoloring at proper temperature.

(7) Ion exchange
Tiny foreign items and bad odor is removed via ion exchanger. This equipment is used for high quality product.

(8) Evaporation
The glucose is totally cleaned through safety filter then sent to evaporator for concentrating to reach the required DS as final product.
